ZOMBIES.
Yeah.
I'm too lazy to write it up && stuff, but basically there's a zombie apocalypse, thanks to
some dumbass scientists who decided to fiddle around with some dead bodies. America has been infected - most people are dead... or rather, living dead. (XD, I crack myself up!) You've survived, and you wanna get the hell out. The army has set up points along the east coast, where you can leave by boat. You have to get there.

Harlen sat on her front porch, gun in one hand, cigarette in the other. She never really knew when they'd wander towards her. This area had been safe for the past two days, for the most part. She'd only had to shoot a good seven or eight. She didn't count anymore, once she'd became comfortable with the killings. Though in the pit of her stomach, she still felt that twinge of guilt. Somewhere. But, she pushed it to the back of her mind. She had greater things to worry about.
Harlen took a final drag from her bummed cigarette and threw it towards the concrete stretched in front of her and headed off in search of a car of some sort.

Miles peered from the window, watching Harlen walk off. He guessed she'd decided to move on. She looked after him, but she trusted him to look after himself as well. She was his younger sister but she treated him as if he were the baby. He galloped outside, walking next to her. "When are you gonna get by on your own, kid?" she teased. He knew she loved him, and they needed eachother. Now more then ever, since of course everyone else was dead. Or half dead, but it was the same thing to them. They were all eachother had, everything that mattered.

Monáe shrugged deeper into the wool lined leather of her jacket, the bite of the cool wind striking her dirt and blood stained face. One hand was tucked her her pocket, the other held a large machete. Blood congealed along the dark grey blade, a dirty brown against the shining steel. A rough army pack rested on one shoulder, while a sawn-barrel shotgun hung off the other. It was tied on with a long length of frayed white rope, and bumped gently against her side with every step she took. She walked across the roof of one building, her ears open for the sounds of other life... Or rather, death. It was safer for her, off the ground. She could see better.

Dean hoisted his pack back onto his shoulder, now bulging with food. He'd just raided a supermarket, avoiding a horde of zombies which had been staggering down the aisles. He rubbed a bandaged hand across his face, sighing. The cool, late winter breeze stung his flesh, a light shower beginning to fall. He tugged his beanie down lower as he walked, heading out of town. The streets were deserted, but Dean knew better than to get comfortable. He'd nearly lost his life that way, early on. He wasn't about to make the same dumb mistake twice.

Taylor yawned, leaning back against the cold brick wall. She had no idea where they were now- some sort of house or something, but it had been safe for the time they'd been there. And even though it had been, they needed to move on. Their food supply was running low, and there was absolutely nothing of value there. Taylor let her eyes drift slowly closed as she listened to Adam pace back in forth in the room next to her. Hopefully, before they did set off, she could get some shut eye.

Adam sighed, walking into the room Taylor was in. "Wake up." He mumbled softly. "We have to get going." She let out a groan of complaint, but he ignored it and started walking out of the place, a gun in his left hand. Taylor slowly stood up and walked after him, though she felt as though she'd fall over at any minute. Adam rolled his eyes and pulled her forward, pushing her outside first. He knew that it'd be clear out there [at least, he hoped], so he wasn't very worried about needing to be ready for their arrival any time soon. Having a loaded gun was still helpful though, because nine times out of ten, he was wrong about these things.
